APPROPRIATE
by Raegan Payne
directed by Caitlin Davies

Appropriate addresses the policing of young women’s bodies by school administrations. Dress codes in schools often promote sexism by reinforcing the idea that women are responsible for a man’s behavior and that a woman’s body is shameful.  These policies, unduly harsh and restrictive of girls, impede their ability to learn.

The Cruise tells the story of two women who meet for the first time on a cruise ship, though they live in the same town.  Their encounter starts out as a light exchange between travelers whose anonymity frees them to share, but slowly they discover a disturbing bond.
