Sarah Hankins is the former Artistic Director of Green Theatre Collective (NYC), where she directed The Tempest, As You Like It, and It’s a Wonderful Life. Directing credits: A Commedia of Errors (One Shot Productions, NYC), Supernova (Luna Stage’s New Moon Festival), Much Ado About Nothing (Stevens Dramatic Society, NJ), and As You Like It, Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at College as an Adjunct Professor at St. Elizabeth. She spent six seasons at Orlando Shakespeare Theater as an actor, director, and teacher, including directing The Young Company productions of The Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III and Macbeth. www.sarahhankins.com
alex pappas (playwright)
Alex Pappas is a writer and actor based in New York City. Most recently, one of his plays was performed as part of Taxdeductible Theatre’s Dare Project. As an actor, he has performed at Syracuse Stage, New York Classical Theatre, the national tour of All in the Timing, and many others. He is very excited to be doing theatre in the DC area for the first time. He thanks all the folks at Hunger & Thirst for making this happen, and his family for all their support!

Patricia is thrilled to be back in D.C. after appearing in Spooky Action Theater’s Helen Hayes Award nominated production of Optimism! Or Voltaire’s Candide last spring. She is the Artistic Director of Hunger & Thirst, where she directed and acted in their inaugural production of Ivanov and appeared in The Misanthrope. Most recently, Patricia finished a six month North American tour playing Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web with Theatreworks USA. Much love to all of her family and friends, especially her mom who puts up with A LOT from her.

Matthew is pleased to return to Hunger & Thirst after playing Alceste in The Misanthrope last summer. As a musician: PlayMakers Rep and Summer Youth Conservatory, Examined Man Theatre and One Shot Productions, among others. As a voice coach: T. Schreiber Studios, UNC-Chapel Hill, Carrboro Arts Center and Deep Dish Theater, among others. NYC acting credits include: Sonnet Rep, Gallery Players, aMios, NYU/Tisch Actor Lab, Sparkification Productions, Lark Play Development Center and 2011 International Emmy Awards. Regional acting credits: Guthrie and Passage theaters, along with three seasons at PlayMakers Rep. BA & BMus, Lawrence University; MFA, UNC-Chapel Hill. Proud member of AEA, ASCAP, The Group Lab.
Jessica skelton (d.c. technical advisor)
Jessica Skelton is a stage manager in the DC area. Most recently, she worked as a Production Assistant at Signature Theatre working under such directors as Eric Schaeffer, Matthew Gardiner, and Michael Kahn. She is a graduate of The Catholic University of America and recently completed the year-long stage management internship at Shakespeare Theatre Company. As a lover of American History, she is excited to join Hunger & Thirst on this project!
