Hunger & Thirst believes in the power of classic stories. It is important to note that we produce classic stories, not classical theater. While we may select pieces within the classical theater genre, it is not our overall focus within the company. Our definition of a classic story is one with timeless themes and universal emotional resonance and relevance. These are the types of stories that anyone, regardless of age, gender, occupation, ethnicity, etc. can find a way to connect with. Our hope is when an audience experiences our work, even though there may be a fourth wall, they feel as though they are standing right next to the characters, going along the journey with them. Ultimately, our goal is to make these stories feel as relatable and relevant today as they were when first produced.
