SYNOPSIS

Featuring original bluegrass and country music, MONSTRESS is a homespun musical that celebrates the rejuvenating power of storytelling. A band of humble folx gather together on the back porch to swap some stories: specifically the infamous tales of female monsters from Greek mythology. But these folx don’t want to tell the stories in any old way; they want to snatch these monstrous myths away from the patriarchy once and for all—share them with y’all in a fresh, empowering light. Therefore, MONSTRESS proves to be an unmissable theatrical event: a fiercely feminine work full of combative charm and inspiring delight.

CONTENT WARNING/TRIGGER WARNING: Please be advised that certain scenes in MONSTRESS include: physical violence, gun violence, bondage, sexual innuendo and gesture, derogatory language, language centering on rape and incest, and the usage of the word 'master'.
